The 2017 Grandparent Portrait Show Gallery
From more than 400 pieces of artwork submitted, the jurors selected 180 pieces for inclusion in the exhibition. The artwork shown in this gallery are the pieces selected to be displayed in the 2017 Grandparent Portrait Exhibition. The exhibition will be on display at the Faulkner Gallery at the Santa Barbara Public Library at 40 E. Anapamu Street, from April 2nd – April 30th.
Awards of Merit for twelve outstanding entries were announced at the Family Reception on Friday, April 7. Five students were selected to receive ribbons of Honorable Mention. These awards are designated through a selection process that includes SAF Committee members—many are retired art teachers—and a professional juror. The juror for the 2017 Grandparent Portrait show is retired art teacher, John Houchin. You can view the winning artwork here.
